2014 ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNERS

The 2014 winners were announced at this year's Christmas party on December 7. Forty three members received 60 awards; obviously some members won multiple awards. This year's winners received nice quality black vests with gold embroidery, that were graciously donated by member Bob Kriz. This is the third time Bob has donated Achievement Awards. In 2007 Bob donated Yellow and Green jackets and last year he donated Colts blue wind breakers.

Pathfinder Award
The following 13 members led more than 50 hikes during the year which ended on September 30, 2014. Glee Crowder led the most with 183 hikes.

Millennium Award
Twenty members hiked more than 1,000 miles in 2014. For the sixth year in a row Glee Crowder led the pack with 2,679 miles, in spite of the fact that she had a hip replaced in early September. Here is a list of all the winners:

Marathon Award
Eleven members completed the longest hike in 2014, a full Marathon (26.2 miles). Nine members hiked together and two others each completed a different marathon. The people who completed the longest hike are:

Trail Maintenance Award
Two members David Kincaid and Jim Rench won this award in 2014, for completing more than 16 hours of trail maintenance.

Club Service Award
There were no winners of this award in 2014.

IndyHike.Org Award
By a wide margin, Phil Coons contributed the most photos to the Club website.

Junior Hikers Award
This award is given to young people who complete more than 100 miles prior to their 18th birthday. There were no winners in 2014, although one is up to 86 miles.

Milestone Award

Bill and Nell Larrison Pinnacle Award
For the fifth year in a row, David Kincaid won this prestigious award by earning the Millennium, Pathfinder, Trailblazer and Trail Maintenance awards in one year.
